SPER - Work Off Your Fines

At Children’s Rights Australia, we believe in second chances and practical solutions. SPER (State Penalties Enforcement Registry) provides a unique opportunity for individuals to work off their fines through community service. This program not only helps relieve financial burdens but also fosters a positive contribution to society.
How the SPER The hardship partner program Works
Participation in this SPER program allows individuals to clear their fines by engaging in meaningful community service activities. Here’s how you can be involved:

Eligibility:
If you wish to be considered, we will need to apply on your behalf. You may be eligible for a work and development order if you can’t pay your debt because of:
- mental illness
- domestic and family violence
- homelessness
- intellectual and cognitive disability
- substance use disorder
- financial hardship.

By writing to sper@childrensrightsaustralia.org can explain the eligibility criteria and advise what evidence you’ll need to provide. It is up us to either we apply on your behalf, or we will provide you other hardship partners to assist. It depends on your particular circumstances.
If you do fit into the criteria and you want to help, make a positive impact in your community then contact. - Community Service Options: Depending on your work ethic and what abilities you have, we will provide tasks to do while you are learning new ways to both help yourself and the community.
- Tracking Progress: We monitor the hours worked @$30 per hour and correspond them directly to the amount of the fine, ensuring fair and transparent reduction of financial obligations.
