Helping Families Through Breakups
Supporting Stability in Times of Change
At Children’s Rights Australia, we recognize the emotional and logistical challenges that families face during breakups. Our mission is to provide compassionate support to parents navigating these difficult times, and where both parties would be willing to continue the relationship if the other did get the help they need, then we rather provide ways they can get the professional help they need.
How we want to help
Family breakups require sensitive and specialized support. Here's how CRA wants to make a positive impact:
- Support Services: From mediation services to parenting classes, we want to provide tools to help try to keeping families together or if all else fails transition into their new lives while preserving the well-being of all involved.
The Importance of Your Support
Although not all these services are available yet through us, (as yet), with your help we can, and make a difference. By supporting CRA, we aim to have *for both male and female (we don't discriminate):
- Preventive Programs: Workshops and educational programs that help families communicate better and manage conflicts constructively
- Direct Aid: Immediate assistance for families in crisis, if we are asked with helping them find temporary housing or financial support during the initial stages of a breakup, we all are supportive of our community and as expected providing clothes and where possible essential needs to help people in serious duress.
Never has a Non-Profit such as ours stepped to the plate to deal with separations from the moment the relationship fails the family are in crisis in the ways we intent to help Government finding new practical solutions. Right now most families work all their lives and if finding they have no alternative than to go to family court or unaware of programs such as Families then are looking down the barrel of 6 years before a final court order. Family Court Lawyers take right now about $10 Billion dollars off these families.
"The Australian Government has been diligent in providing better ways to support families, including through the use of the Amica app. We encourage families to utilize this app and explore other solutions and ideas. By having parties agree to use our services, we aim to alleviate concerns and ensure transparency between ex-partners. Our approach involves utilizing individuals with blue cards to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being as part of our community service.
This is where the new generation and the older generation work together instead of feeling unwanted or seeking ways to contribute, can assist and volunteer their time to support community needs. Whether it’s working as a hairdresser or providing some form of guidance, we want to help couples navigate challenges. While our services may initially be available in areas with our Op Shops, our long-term goal is to expand our programs far and wide. We’ll start by achieving success in Mt Gravatt and surrounding areas, and then, with the support of communities and their leaders, extend our assistance to other regions in Queensland and beyond. Who knows, these systems may eventually be provided globally.
So why us ? Or Why on earth would you think of running this by an OP Shop ? Well let's just give a few reasons (We can think of thousands).
- Non-Profit Charity: Our organization operates as a non-profit, focusing on community welfare rather than profit margins.
- Cost Efficiency: Our premises and associated costs are mainly funded through donations and revenue generated by selling second-hand items. Additionally, when meeting people, we provide both second-hand and new items available for purchase through our online stores.
- Flexible Spaces: Our mobile clothes racks allow us to create meeting spaces efficiently, especially during evening hours. Additionally, we offer affordable drinks and snacks, unlike for-profit stores.
- Community Engagement: We’ve developed unique strategies to involve the community in supporting our initiatives.
- Business Professional Support: Business professionals contribute by donating or providing equipment at low cost, helping us succeed.
- Innovation and Compassion: Our website reflects our innovative approach and genuine commitment to finding solutions that benefit everyone.
- Collective Effort: If not us, then who? Let’s collaborate with other organizations to drive positive change in Queensland and beyond. Together, we can enhance lives and build a stronger community.
Our commitment lies in being a non-profit organization. Despite past hardships let's work together to create positive change for future generations and children.
Volunteers and Think Tanks
Join Our Think Tanks and Become a Volunteer
We seek leaders who genuinely care about creating positive change. Rather than merely criticizing or condemning, we encourage proactive support for our community. Activism that solely blames the government for lacking solutions is unproductive. Instead, let’s focus on finding innovative ways to address challenges without burdening taxpayers. Our approach emphasizes peace, compassion, and unbiased thinking. If you’re ready to move forward and contribute to positive change, consider joining our Think Tanks as a volunteer. We also invite all supporters to participate in our Anger Management classes, which equip individuals to handle anger effectively and engage constructively with others.
